Their, they’re. Your not alone.

It’s happening even to me: misspellings of homophones are cropping up in my written communication.

I blame keyboarding. The mind moves a little too fast, and sounds and meaning don’t have time to fuse. This is one of the benefits of writing longhand, a more leisurely mental pace. It’s easier to get more right while drafting ideas. ┬áCursive writing especially helps to map ideas to letterforms.
